It's an ill wind that blows no good

So Sunday was mostly a white.out of snowy squalls:

I said a white-out is white! I think you see that there is an actual photo between the lines. So while I was watching white, I noticed that there were occasional flecks of colour high up. Strange!

So I looked and waited

See what I mean about bits of colour?

The kite appears to ne about 10 meters across -

And the skier is on a snowboard, I think. Now if the person is 1.5m tall then, ...

I thought at times I could see 5 different kites, I am not sure if there are 2 or 3 kites in this last image.
The person is about 100m from me, about 50m off shore on some 20cm of powder snow on ice frozen to the bottom - very shallow in October when the lake level has dropped by 40cm,

Yesterday. All my troubles seemed so far away ...

Compare this image:

from today with this image from yesterday:

Today, this morning, there is a white-out:

Who needs snowballs? Can you see the flag?

The snow has just about stopped! I'll try again:

Can you see the flag now?

I was going to go for a 30km run; then I thought I'd ski for an hour. Then I thought better!
I think I'll have some lunch.

This is the morning after -

 the cold night before:

The differences between pairs is in focal length, and within a pair, the 2nd was taken with a flash.

I was in shorts and sandals because it was sooo warm!
