The Lyrid Meteor shower - none seen

The Lyrids

Polaris is near the upper left abd appears nearly  stationary. Vega rotates upward at the lower right side. Sky brightness was 19.8 mag per sq arc sec. +/- 0.1 during an hour.

Greater Yellowlegs

It was on Monday April 20, when all the birds wanted to see us. This entry is about the Greater Yellowlegs that Muriel introduced me to a Spring or 2 ago. I actually sought a location where I might have a chance. They seemed to be waiting for me:
