Ebony and Ivory

From a walk this afternoon beside Leacock - inspiration?

This is the setting:

Can you see the Pileated woodpecker? I could hear its gentle excavating.

I began to zoom in on it - in the centre:

Still difficult?

Closer still and uncropped:

It was the motion of its head and the faint sound that lead me to it.

This was just one of several holes it had chiseled into the tree.
