We could not afford to import Wee Willie  , nor Punx Phil or whoever; we will use Orillia Owen as our "own" forecaster. And as you can see:

he can see his shadow. So back to bed with a warm cup of coffee. We may repeat this algorithm  in another six weeks.

I knew of this day back when I was young and dynamic - a bit of a joke. I have never seen the film,Groundhog Day     My fault since I was given the DVD by my very dear sweet sister and did not get around to viewing it before she gave it away to some educators in China. I did not know I was in a time loop. However, we all are. The origin is probably pagan, a date midway - almost - between Winter (Dec 21) and Spring (Mar 21), 43 days and 47 days if my fingers and toes are correct. And the groundhog comes out of his den, -19C Fri AM, mainly sunny but winds over 30kmh. And then the GH looks down for a shadow - yes and then winter will persist for six more weeks. Otherwise, Spring will arrive early in 7 weeks.

So now the snowbirds are on the runway getting ready to react to tomorrows business.

So the fleet is ready; let it be sunny or cloudy - the snowbirds can be handled at the airport and flown to their destinations - Old Man River in Alberta!
