Room with a view

I mentioned "hurricane" last night. This morning we have horizontal snow. The photos were taken when I could see about 100m. When I could not see the willow I did not take any photos . so you will just have to hold a sheet of white anything in front of your eyes. Rest assured that that is a good deal warmer than reality.

This view is to the north, toward Leacock, from just outside our "guest" room - so it comes with an outside balcony!

I now turn toward Washago 15Km away, but can only see our Willow. I am happy to see some colour. However, the canoes and kayaks at the base of the tree are nearly buried in snow. It will be the closest I get to white water.

Toward Rama, via the "double tree", I can just make out the edge before the lake snow. The

blue-tinged terrace glass traps some of the blizzard - here some 50cm deep. It covers the snow tunnels used by the squirrels. It is fun to see them poke their heads through the snow as though to see where they are. None out this morning.

These last 2 pictures complete the scan to the right and show the outside and inside views of the balcony. The birch is sitting on our picnic table.

In conclusion: there were no mosquitos bothering Vicki. And it was a dry cold so I was out in shorts, T-shirt,  and sandals.
