Not so unusual - have seen a pair in a birch tree near the visitors' centre in Algonquin Park - have photos from almost beneath the birds. Not shy. Have also several encounters with s single bird - male? - on the ground at "Rock Lake" and also in and around Killarney Prov Park
I have NEVER seen one in a tree! What an amazing view!
