"Science made me a better parent" ... ?

SCIENCE magazine just published a guest article by Ignacio Amigo which I thought was worth passing on.
It is called strangely enough:

Science made me a better parent

Last Christmas our children gave me a T-shirt with this on it:

I thought there would be great interest to see the Iridium flare but to date nobody has expressed an interest. Sad - glad I did not submit to the local newspapers? No, actually, my "reward" came just now from The Scientist, April 7 2015. They  give 3 reasons why one should/ought to write. However, the last sentence is perhaps relevant for me:

"Given all the advantages of writing about one’s work, scientists should invest time in learning to communicate it well."

I am trying to! I am even being secretly tutored in Logical Fallacy! 

And I am begining to learn the differences among coaching, tutoring and mentoring 
thanks to your encouragement.
