Happy Easter

I'll have to work fast or it won't be Easter any longer.

The goose was gone when I returned this afternoon and I was concerned. However, there were also several changes to the furniture - all the picnic tables, 3, had been pulled away from the area. And this bicycle which had fallen over in the wind was again upright.

I talked to the goose - we may have met last year or the year before when I would have been in the kayak.

I think the goose was fairly well settled after all the grounds keeper's work.

I had a look at this yesterday - Easter in German is plural.  For a chocolate egg lover, this must have advantages?

The lack of Easter bunnies means that eggs are scarce on the ground. So father Christmas, currently locked down and so unemployable went out to do some investigations. And as it is with very lucky people, I soon found the reason: delay in production! However, delivery to households should be nearly instantaneous.

The golden eggs, I presume, are on the Leacock lawn, near one of the geocaching sites. Maybe wait a few days so that the eggs can be hard.boiled for humans.

We are on a first name basis, Bill to bill as it were.

The Search for Easter Eggs

I do not know why one would nominate a rabbit to be custodian of eggs. As an impractical scientist, I went looking for eggs the other day and did not find any.

No grass, no nest, but the wing is on the bird.

Colourful but no wing nor nest:

but still not a great choice for laying an egg.

At least there appear to be possibilities?

The weather has been so warm that the ice on Couch is breaking up - especially near Centenial Park. It means that the water birds do not have to be close to river exit at the north end of the lake. Still we did manage to see a number of Trumpeters and Canada geese.

Quite some action.

There were also some take-offs as well.

They were too far away for me to follow.
